MusicTech Germany is the Federal Association for Music-Technology in Germany. Established in 2017 as the first music tech network worldwide.
We represent the interests of hardware and software developers, research institutions, and service providers that apply technologies to the music value chain.
The members of MusicTech Germany are as diverse as the music sector itself. Our members are startups and corporate companies, artists and makers, event organizers and curators, developers and designers, manufacturers and service providers, as well as business, education, and research experts.

At the core of our mission:
Promoting collaborations and bridging the communication and knowledge gap between the traditional music industry and music tech innovators.
The association seeks to promote the joint interests of its members and to support innovators in fulfilling their mission by initiating interactive multi-disciplinary events and by communicating with and counseling (inter)national policymakers, industry executives, media representatives, as well as artists, music enthusiasts, and the general public.
As an independent organization, MusicTech Germany is the main point of contact for music technology in Germany.
The association connects the dots for its members who address the challenges of the music industry value chain in the digital age: Ranging from notation and production software to musical instruments and interfaces, from streaming platforms to fan engagement services and artificial Intelligence applications to new live experiences and ticketing solutions.
Furthermore, the association fosters knowledge transfer between visionaries from all intersections of the creative industries.
It serves as a mediator and independent catalyst to help accelerate avant-garde approaches, determined to further the innovative potential and future success of artists and pioneers by improving the creative environment and underlying economic infrastructure.
Music has always been shaped by the tension between tradition and transformation. At MusicTech Germany, we believe the next chapter of music innovation must be written from within the music sector itself; by artists, industry professionals, and technology pioneers working together, not in parallel.
Our vision is to build the connective infrastructure that the ecosystem has always needed: structured networks for knowledge exchange, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and shared advocacy that places the economic sustainability of artists at its center.
As Germany's (and the world's first) Federal Association for Music Technology, we are committed to making Germany the global reference point for music innovation that is not only technically excellent but humanistically grounded, equitable, and built to last.
Because the future of music belongs to those who love it enough to build it together.
